FAQs

How quickly can skips be delivered and collected?

In many cases, we can offer same-day or next-day delivery, depending on our availability and your location. We highly recommend booking a few days in advance to secure your preferred time slot, especially during peak periods.

When you are ready for collection, call our skip hire company or schedule it through our online portal. We generally aim to collect your skip within 24 to 48 hours of your request. If your project finishes early or runs behind schedule, just let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your changing timeline.

Do I need a permit, and do you arrange them?

Yes, permits are legally required if your domestic skip hire needs to be placed on a public highway, pavement, or road. If you have a private driveway, garden, or designated off-road yard, you will not need a permit at all.

To keep the process entirely simple and hassle-free for you, we handle the local council permit applications on your behalf. Please note that councils can take 2 to 5 working days to approve and issue a permit, so it is best to plan accordingly. There is also a small council fee associated with these permits, which we will clearly factor into your initial quote.

What types of rubbish clearance do you offer?

We offer a fully flexible hands-on rubbish clearance service for both residential and commercial properties. Our comprehensive options include:

  • Residential: Full house, garage, loft, and garden waste removal.
  • Commercial: Office strip-outs, retail refits, and general commercial property clear-ups.
  • Specialist: Builder’s waste removal, heavy furniture, and bulky appliance disposal.

Our professional, fully insured team does all the heavy lifting for you, quickly clearing the designated spaces and leaving them swept clean.

How much of the collected rubbish is recycled?

We are deeply committed to environmental sustainability, aiming to divert as much waste collection as possible from landfills. 100% of the rubbish we collect is transported directly to fully licensed, state-of-the-art waste transfer stations and recycling facilities.

Once there, materials like wood, metal, plastics, cardboard, and soil are meticulously sorted and processed. We continuously monitor our environmental metrics to ensure our recycling rates remain among the highest in the waste management industry.
